A local-heritage story in two chapters, made from two short walks we filmed ourselves in Wakefield. Each opens on the walk as it was filmed, then dissolves into the 3D at the exact same frame. The camera then walks the real route through history: every date lights up the part of the building it is about (the tower and spire of 1409–20, the nave rebuilt in 1469, Pearson's east end of 1903–05), the scene takes the colour of its era, sepia for the medieval church and black and white for the Victorian one, and a gold line measures the 247 ft spire, the tallest in Yorkshire. At two dates a slider compares today's 3D with an AI picture of the same view around 1480 and 1890. The second chapter walks down Trinity Walk through the town's story, from the Domesday Book and King John's market charter to the railway, city status and the pits. A mini map shows where you are on the walk.
